The aim of the course is to provide you with knowledge of statistical methods for analysing quantitative data so that you can apply them in your own research. You will develop your ability to understand sampling techniques, to understand and apply descriptive and inferential statistics and statistical criteria, as well as linear, regression and path analyses, structural equation modelling and time series analysis.
Distinguish between basic statistical concepts, data collection, analysis and interpretation. Evaluate the statistical significance and confidence intervals. Construct representative samples for a study. Measure the correlation between two variables. Use statistical criteria. Use linear regression to predict one variable based on the trend of another variable. Apply logistic regression. Identify linear relationships between variables using path analysis. Develop a mathematical model using structural equations. Use time series analysis to predict a certain phenomenon in the future.
