This training programme is designed for all adults interested in strengthening their research skills by applying qualitative data analysis methods. Participants will explore different types of qualitative research, their application potential and limitations and will learn to combine various methods in mixed research designs. The course focuses on the full content analysis process – from creating coding schemes to applying analysis in practice using specialised software (MAXQDA). It also covers systematic literature review, social media and network analysis, qualitative comparative analysis, and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Participants will develop skills in designing research instruments and preparing research reports. Emphasis is placed on ethical practices and data protection. The acquired competencies will be applicable in educational, business, or other social science research settings.

Dr. Vaidas Morkevičius is an associate researcher at the Centre for Data Analysis and Archiving, Faculty of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts, KTU, and a professor in the research group ""Civil Society and Sustainability"", Faculty of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts, KTU. His research interests include: political communication, attitudes and behaviour of citizens and elites, social structure and inequality, social research methods. With Zenonas Norkus, he published the textbook ""Qualitative Comparative Analysis"" in 2011. Since 2002 he has taught various research methods courses at KTU, VMU and ISM. From 2008-2018 he was the National Coordinator of the European Social Survey in Lithuania. As a co-author, he has contributed to the development of statistical analysis of quantitative data and computer-assisted qualitative data analysis training materials. He has more than 15 years of experience in training and consulting on quantitative data analysis software.
Vilma Sukackė is an associate researcher at the Centre for Data Analysis and Archiving, Faculty of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts, KTU, a lecturer, editor of the scientific journal ""Information Technologies and Management"" and a doctoral candidate in KTU Education. Research interests: technology-enriched learning, research methods and sociolinguistics. She teaches the following modules to Bachelor and Master students: Social Network and Media Analysis, Computer Assisted Qualitative Research Methods, Introduction to Research Methods, and Contemporary Educational Systems and Technologies. Vilma is registered as one of the MAXQDA Professional Lecturers in the MAXQDA Lecturers' Network from 2020. Vilma organises seminars and workshops on research methods, computer-assisted data analysis, academic writing and technology-enriched teaching in Lithuania and abroad. She organises trainings and events aimed at developing the competences and networking of lecturers and PhD students.
Dr. Audronė Telešienė is Professor of Sociology and Head of the Data Analysis and Archiving (DAtA) Centre (Faculty of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts, KTU). Her research interests include environmental behaviour and attitudes, social perception and communication of climate change, social welfare studies and social research methods. Her research uses systematic literature analysis alongside other qualitative and quantitative methods.
