About this course

The training aims to provide knowledge of econometric methods used in various economic studies. It provides basic theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the development and application of econometric models, as well as an introduction to the software used for this purpose. The training covers correlation and regression analysis and time series analysis.

 

You will learn:

How to identify the link between indicators and assess its strength and significance; how to decide which regression model is the most appropriate; how to build a regression model and assess its quality; how to apply a regression model to forecasting; how to build a trend model and apply it to forecasting; how to forecast based on the ARIMA and exponential smoothing methods.

STUNDŽIENĖ Alina

Dr. Alina Stundžienė is an associate professor at the KTU School of Economics and Business and a member of the research group "Sustainable Economy". She has 17 years of experience in teaching, research, project implementation and management. She gives lectures to bachelor's, master's and doctoral students and teaches modules on statistics, econometrics and quantitative research methods. She researches forecasting of economic, business and other indicators, real-time assessment of economic activity, labour market, real estate market, public welfare and resource use, and has published about 40 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals in Lithuania and abroad. The main results of her research are also published in the media (press, radio). She is a member of the European Economic Association and the Lithuanian Statistical Association.
