The aim of this programme is to provide a foundation in Swedish that will enable the learner to communicate and converse in everyday situations, and to understand and answer simple questions. At the A1 level of proficiency in Swedish, learners are able to understand and use phrases related to everyday activities and simple phrases to meet basic needs; to introduce themselves and others, to ask and answer questions related to personal information (where they live, what they like, what they have); to take part in simple discussions where the other speaker or speakers speak slowly and clearly and to help them to express their thoughts. The course duration is 152 academic hours, of which 76 hours are dedicated to learning with the lecturer. A certificate of completion of the non-formal education programme is awarded upon positive assessment of the competences acquired and the credits are recognised by the higher education institution.
- Describe yourself and your activities in a clear and structured way, using simple phrases and sentences. - Understand spoken language, where information is conveyed slowly, clearly and with long pauses. - Analyse audiovisual texts, extracting essential information from short clips on everyday topics. - Read short and simple texts, being able to identify relevant words or phrases and revise the text when possible. - Participate effectively in oral and written dialogues. - Convey information accurately and clearly in a virtual environment. - Identify and interpret relevant information from short textual sources such as signs, posters or television programmes.
