The course is designed for specialists who wish to conduct tachograph inspections (the company and the specialists aiming to conduct tachograph maintenance must comply with the requirements of the Rules for the Operation of Tachograph Workshops, approved by Order No. 2BE-252 of the Director of the Lithuanian Transport Safety Administration of 22 September 2021). The qualification course is provided under an approved programme developed following the OIML D-14 requirements for legal metrology personnel, providing theoretical knowledge of metrology for the work in legal and industrial metrology and related fields requiring specific technical-professional competence and experience.
This course will provide you with the basic theoretical knowledge of metrology for work in the field of legal metrology conducting tachograph inspection. You will learn the main metrological characteristics of measuring instruments, the specifics of the classification of standards, the differences between legal and industrial metrology, the organisation of the maintenance and control of measuring instruments, the main documents governing the field of metrology, the principles of international and national metrology, and the procedures for metrological maintenance. Upon completion of the course, a certificate of the tachograph inspector is issued. The certificate is valid for 5 years.
